MWB Harry S. Truman - The 33rd President of the United States was master of Grandview (Mo.) Lodge No. 318 in 1911 and grand master of the Grand Lodge of Missouri in 194041.
In 1945 he became the first U.S. President to be coroneted a 33 Scottish Rite Mason. During his presidency he was such a regular visitor to Federal Lodge that the lodge purchased a gun safe for the tiler to store the side arms of Secret Service members accompanying the President when they entered the lodge room.
