Algoma District Masonic Association Annual Picnic

June 29, 2013

Submitted by Wor. Bro. John Breen

Photos compliments of Bro. Michael Lenardon

The Masonic Association held its annual picnic on June 29th at Chippewa Park. The stellar weather not only provided sunshine for the picnic but also made for a pleasant camping experience for those that were staying at the Park. The event was definitely a family affair with lots of games for all ages. The games involved such old time favourites as ‘balloon toss’ and a ‘sack race’ to name a few.  Plenty of prizes too! And what would a picnic be without hot dogs? Along with the usual picnic foods and drinks, the Shriner's Cotton Candy machine was on hand to produce those sugary treats enjoyed by the young and young at heart.

Special thanks to all the Masons that helped make this event a successful one, especially W. Bros Maloney, Charlton and Abbott and Bro. Stewart. The Masonic picnic is a great venue for Brethren and their families to join in fellowship and have some fun. Hopefully we will see everyone out again next year.
