Subject: Cornerstone Results

To:  W Bro Boote and W Bro Charlton, Shuniah Lodge A.F. & A.M. No. 287 G.R.C.

I am writing to you as the two identified as the worshipful master and Cornerstone coordinator, respectively, when the lodge’s letter of intent to participate in Cornerstone was submitted.

As you probably realize, the Cornerstone team has spent the past few weeks reviewing Cornerstone packages from the various lodges.  I am pleased to be able to report that Shuniah 287 has successfully met the requirements for Cornerstone this year and, as a result, may use the designation “Cornerstone Lodge, 2012-2014”.  You will notice that the designation covers a two-year span.  That is because the Management Board of Grand Lodge recently agreed to make the qualifying and the certification time period a two year process.  You may again submit a letter of intent this year but the lodge will now have two years to meet the required standards, which remain unchanged from last year.

At the Board of General Purposes meeting at Grand Lodge on Tuesday, July 17th, RW Bro Jankovic will be presented with the certificate and a formal letter of congratulations to Shuniah 287.  He will then arrange for his successor to make the presentation to the lodge, presumably at its September meeting.

On behalf of the Cornerstone Team and the Lodge Resources Committee of Grand Lodge, I would like to pass along our congratulations on your achievement and wish you continued success with Cornerstone.
