2012 Teddy Bears Picnic a Sunny Success

July 10 to 12, 2012

The 2012 Teddy Bears Picnic was held under bright blue skies, with lots of sunshine, and many parents electing to have their children provided with identification kits through the Ch.I.P. program. The sponsoring lodge for this year's event was Shuniah Lodge No. 287.  The representative from Shuniah is Bro. Bill Deadman.  Bro. Deadman was responsible for lining up the volunteers needed and arranging for all the computers and ancillary supplies needed to be at the location. The volunteers were busy for over four hours and provided kits for nearly 100 children and senior citizens.  The photos capture parents/guardians/grandparents patiently awaiting their turn, actually being processed, and three of the volunteers from Shuniah Lodge No. 287, Bro. Bill Deadman, W. Bro. Brian Siegfried and W. Bro. Tom Charlton.  In addition volunteer Margaret "Bunny" Forneri (wife of Bro. James Fornieri of Kaministiquia Lodge No. 584) assisted.
