Message from Bill Calder, Regional Coordinator, MasoniChip Ontario: August 18, 2017:

With the year half gone and a couple of events completed, our present total of children identified is 8,247, which is a bit low since we have just finished with the local CLE for five days.

The Teddy Bears Picnic was quite successful this year as well.

We have just heard from the Western District, who is now on board to implement the MasoniChip program within that district. The district Manager is Bro. Bruce Watson, who hails from Golden Star Lodge #484 in Dryden(807-323-3263, Email. Any Lodges from Western District  interested in starting up a group of volunteers within their lodge please contact him.

The lodge representatives in Algoma district are as follows:

Port Arthur Lodge # 499 – Bro. Bruce McMuldroch - 807-626-6032

Shuniah Lodge #287 – Wor. Bro. Bill Deadman – 807-345-2068

Kaministiquia Lodge #656 - Bro. Jamie Tocker – 807-683-5638

Connaught Lodge #511 - Bro. Rob Jarzebinski – 807-630- 5279

Superior Lodge #672 – V.Wor. Bro  Lorne Townes – 807-886-2230

Terrace Bay Lodge #662 – Rt. Wor. Bro. Jason Nesbitt - 807-229-6663

The main issue facing the CHiP program are getting the volunteered Brethren their police background checks and forwarding a copy of the results to their Lodge representative or to Bro Bruce McMuldroch, via email ( ) .  Without the police confirmation, the volunteer cannot participate in the program.

Thanks to all the Brethren who have participated this year.

V. Wor. Bro. Bill Calder

The MasoniCh.I.P. program is brought exclusively to families by dedicated Masons and their volunteers, free of charge along with our sentiment that "We hope you never need to use it." By supporting the project it will ensure that we can provide more parents with the opportunity of providing another level of protection for their children and loved ones.
