Very Worshipful Brother Albert Harding (seen above, at the Thunder Bay Plasma Centre along with R.W. Bro Gary Bloomfield, W. Bro. George Tester and W. Bro. John Burns), a member of Shuniah Lodge # 287, achieved a significant milestone in his plasma and blood donations by making donation number 600 at the Canadian Blood Services Thunder Bay Plasma Centre on Wednesday, August 15, 2007. V.W. Bro. Harding has achieved the highest total number of whole blood and plasma donations of any citizen in the history of Thunder Bay and is number 12 on the list of all time donors in Canada.

V.W. Bro Harding also played a key role in Algoma District being recognized by the Grand Lodge of Canada in the Province of Ontario as the district with the largest number of blood and plasma donations per capita for the year 2007. Although Algoma District has only 2 percent of the Freemasons in our Grand Jurisdiction, it accounted for 12 percent of the 42,378 blood and plasma donations made in 2007 by our brethren, their family members and friends.

 V. W. Bro. Harding has contributed to the saving of over 2,700 lives with his blood and plasma donations. He considers his greatest gift right now is demonstrating leadership and providing encouragement to his brethren in Freemasonry to match his dedication and record in giving the greatest charitable gift we can all give, the gift of life.

“Would you give if it were in your power ?”

Plasma, it’s in you to give
